how to repair my i-mate jam auto format problem?

i hav e i-mate jam wm2003 2nd edition. i tried upgrading it before using wm6 and wm5 installer using active sync. now every time i restart, or change sim, it auto formats, and reinstalls windows mobile 2003 over again. any solution to this, badly need assistance, thanks.
