What does your breeding mentor say? If you are ethically breeding purebred cats, you should have a mentor. If you just have a cat and are trying to get her knocked up, you need to stop. The world is full of homeless cats and kittens and shelters are killing them by the tens of thousands every day because there aren't enough homes for them. Foreclosures, job losses, and failing economy have caused shelters to become packed with homeless animals whose lives depend on finding a home. You are just adding to the problem if you are breeding right now. Have her spayed.

Some cats don't cycle a lot. If your cats are not purebred and been tested for genetic problems in the breed and have not got at least champion from being shown, they should not be bred at all.

cats often cycle more in the summer - not in fall or winter - wouldnt make sense to have kittens in the winter..

so in the mean time take her to cat shows to prove her worth as a breeding female - more points will get more for the kittens

no show record = no point in breeding especially since over 6 million cats and kittens are euthanized every year in USA alone..
