Default Should I mate gerbils in the Summer?

I've been thinking... If I could mate gerbils in the Summer. Because I know a lot about gerbil's and gerbil breeding. The only thing is where or who I would give most of the pups to. I love animals (Including gerbils) And I really want to be working with animals. (I want my career to be working with animals such as a small animal vet.)

Please no answers like- Why mate them when you can buy more at a store. (It's a lot different if you mate, rather than buy...)

Wonderful idea! Breeding gerbils is a great hobby, and something to enjoy! I am in the midst of breeding my two pair. You're right, buying them from the store isn't the same!

But you have to remember, once the mother gives birth (or during birth), the father will breed with her again! So if you are expecting one litter, think again. You have to be prepared.

So just read a little more about it, here is a great site. I printed this out:

No. Don't.

There are already too many animals in the world.

Espcially with no homes.

Don't breed them.

We don't need anymore.
