Default Old NEC TV has shadow at the bottom of the screen after a move.?

It's a 19 year old 27 TV. The remote says RC-1042E 79608811 so I'm guessing that's the model. It's most noticeable when there are words at the bottom on the screen, it's kind of like a shadow or double vision. I never noticed a problem before but I never watched the TV that much until last week after I moved and it is now my main TV. It was moved about 25 miles in the back of a U-haul, could that have bumped something? Is there an easy fix? I do have a lifetime warranty through the store I bought it from, but the TV is no longer made, so I can't get parts, though they have been able to fix it before without new parts, but I don't really have a way to get it there - it's too big for my car. I don't have a manual and there isn't a menu button on the remote so I don't know how to adjust it somehow that way. I don't watch much tv so I don't want to pay a lot to get it fixed or to buy a new one at all. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

It's not around the edges or blue or black. It's like if it said ABC in the lower right corner it would say ABC twice with the 2nd one starting about halfway through the new one. It's not bad. I'd live with it over buying a new tv, just a little annoying.

Usually the shadows or blue black areas around the edges or corners of the screen mean that the tube itself is getting magnetized and the only way to possibly cure that is something called deguassing. That neutralizes the charge inside the tube but it sounds like it too far gone to be worth keeping. Get yourself a nice LCD HDTV you'll wonder why you never did it sooner.
