B20 is a Prelude engine.

B20 is the size of the motor not Whether its VTEC. Look at the whole name i.e. B18b B20A B18C. The B series is the dual overhead cam motor the A B or C after designates Vtec or not A is usually the mid powered VTEC, B is non VTEC, and C is High power VTEC

The B20b and B20z are non-vtec engines. They are pretty much just a 2.0 liter version of the same engine you have right now, but the B20z has a slightly higher compression. They came in the CRV. As far as VTEC engines go, there is the B16a3, B16a2, there is the B17a, B18c1, and the B18c5. The last letter in the engine code does not designate which has more power. The B16a3 came in the Del Sol, the B16a2 came in the 99-00 Civic Si, the B17a1 came in the 92-93 Integra GSR, the B18c1 came in the 94-01 Integra GSR, and the B18c5 came in the 97-01 Integra Type R.
