pantech matrix - aim screen turned white - wut do i do?

I go on aim a lot on my phone (pantech matrix) and i was talking to two people and then the screen turned white. I'm thinking the screen turned white because they sent a message to me at the exact same time but i really don't know but now it's stuck on white and i don't know what to do. has this happened to anyone and do they know how to fix it?
