I've been in the Navy for just over 2 years. I'm very interested in cross rating to HM. There are a few NECs I would prefer that I think I qualify for. I'm in a very small command and we don't have a CCC so I really don't have a clue on how to even get this all started. I'll take all the help you guys can give me.















I thought that they wouldn't be taking anyone too because it's creo 2 but they are looking for 30 people to cross rate as of april.















My rate is very overmanned. Everyone that I know that has put in their PTS and said they wanted to stay in rate as been rolled over. One guy put in to cross rate to HM and got approved a month later. I tried to see if I could do the same but was told I couldn't because I'm not close enough to my EAOS. Although I was reading the PTS regs and it says I could submit one 12 month before my PRD. I've ask my Chief but he really doesn't have an answer.

No, you don't pick anything. You request it and and hope for the best. In any case, HM is in CREO Group 2 (E-4) and CREO Group 3 (E-5 and 6). You have no chance of cross-rating into it unless things change drastically.
