Default What would cause a Vtech solenoid to fail in 05 Accord?
The car ran fine for 80,000 miles and without warning the solenoid failed - Why?

Probably some sorta debris in the oil. Dirt or small metal particles can get jammed in the solenoid. Ive seen it on brand new cars.

Sometimes they just wear out prematurely.
