Headlights Flashing on my 00' Mitsubishi Eclipse?

My 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse's headlights will just start flashing/blinking for an unlimited amount of time until i go to the car and either lock or unlock it. It drained my battery and caused a headache of delays to get it charged back up again. Does anyone know why it could be flashing just for no reason?

I would guess you have some kind of an alarm and a switch somewhere is shot.

Pretty much what Bob said. If it is still the factory security system, take it to the dealer and let them know what's happening. If you have an aftermarket system, find a shop that works with that brand and take it there.
