I want a device that I can use to instantly find information on drugs and quickly answer patient questions. I would also like to store basic information on patients.

There are many PDA's and packages that provide info on scrips.You cannot store basic info or any info about patients on your own personal device. In the US, this would be a major HIPAA problem.Instead of every nurse buying their own PDA, your nursing department should get with hospital management and see about getting a portable nurse charting solution.

Any device by Palm would work well. You could probably pick up an older device, like an Tungsten E, on Ebay, for not too much and it would probably fit your needs just fine. The other poster is right about the patient confidentiality issue. Maybe if you only wrote the person's first name or initial or something, I don't know.
