palm treo 700 w question: how do you switch the settings to where you have...

...the normail input text on LOWECASE? when i go to send a message, my phone won't do lowercase unless i press the shift button twice (which would normally turn it to all caps.). it's very annoying. is there a way i can change it back??? it was fine like an hour ago. i don't know what happened.
