why is so-cal weather so nice? and how did you get all of those palm...

Compare our weather to New York, Boston, Chicago and St Louis today. That is how we got a rep for nice weather.

The Palm trees were imported except for one species. The importing started in the 1920's because exotic arab desserts were in vogue at that time.

Today landscape architects are shying away from palm trees for a simple reason. If you looked at them you would see that a 50 ft tall palm tree would make less shade than a ten foot tall oak.

The weather is nice because of our geography. And yes, the palm trees are not native to here. They are imported.

You should change it to : Why does Los Angeles have nice weather?....I live in inland california in the San Bernardino-Riverside metro (100 miles inland of LA), well we see snow (32 degrees and below in the winter), 100 degrees + weather and lots more, trust me it's not pretty, well I guess you can say LA has nice weather the lowest they get is 48 degrees...in the winter lol.
