I recently switched from the GSM (ATT) 680 to CDMA (Verizon) Centro, so the comparison isn't perfectly apples to apples. But both are Palm OS, and the base OS in the Centro seems to be more stable (but...that could still be the difference between carriers, as they each have customized OS builds). The Centro has a higher resolution camera (1280x1024 vs 640x480), but still infinite focus and JPG format. Other than that, the size is the main difference, it means a somewhat smaller screen (not a big deal if you use a stylus), smaller buttons and keypad area (this is a notable difference, as I have found the Centro is just useable, wereas the 680 was very easy to type on -- I have since bought a folding fullsize keyboard for my email!), and, lastly and most obviously, smaller in the pocket. Both phones have aftermarket extended batteries, if you don't mind that pocket size getting larger. Centro uses MicroSD and Treo uses SD.
Those are all the differences I can think up, I hope that helps!
