By worshipping, obeying and fellowshipping with other believers, spending time in the word and in prayer as much as we need to, continuing to grow closer to the Lord, by meditating on the word (Ps. 1:1-3).

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful,















2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he doth meditate day and night.















3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bring forth his fruit in it's season. His leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Palm trees are known for their long life. To flourish like palm trees means to stand tall and to love long. The cedars of Lebanon grew to 120 ft. in height and 30 ft in circumference, thus, they were solid, strong, and immovable. The psalmist saw believers as upright, strong and unmoved by the winds of circumstance. Those who place their faith firmly in God can have this strength and vitality.
