Default When a yoyo comes back to your palm, is it supposed to hurt really badly?

OK, so I actually have two questions.

I just started and..

1. I used to be able to do the sleeper [like, yesterday], but now I'm kind of failing. It does not stay down there. Could my yoyo have just.. broken somehow? It's a cheap 2 dollar one from the local grocery store... I'm planning on getting a better one though

2. OK, after many failed attempts at trying to get the yoyo to sleep, it's slammed my palm so many times, and now, the day after, it's sore to the touch. is this normal? Am I just supposed to get used to this pain?

Your Yo-Yo is not broken, the string is just twisted to tightly and thus gripping the axle to well to allow it to spin freely. Allow your Yo-Yo to hang at the bottom of the string; it will start to unwind the string. How far you allow it to unwind is found by trial and error. To little, and it will not sleep, to much,it will not return to your hand.

The sore hand; it is just bruised; nothing a bit of ice treatment and rest will not cure.

I hope you enjoy your Yo-Yo.
