I suppose it all depends on your preferences.
But I LOVE my Treo Pro. It is a perfect smartphone. The touchscreen is beautiful and is customizable, (you can set it to feel a fat thumb, the stylus, or the side of your long girlie thumbnail!) The qwerty keyboard on this phone is great. The buttons are sturdy, and once you get used to the small buttons, you'll be typing easily, and quickly. Texting is a breeze, and has conversations so you can see everything you and your friend have said to each other. I will never have another phone without a full keyboard, or touchscreen!
The camera is 2 megapixel, and does many cool tricks, like black white, sepia, panaramic, and of course 2 settings for the zoomable camcorder. The only thing it lacks is a flash... (THIS is my ONLY complaint about this phone!)
The Treo Pro runs on the newest version of Windows Mobile. It's pretty easy to navigate, customize, and find things, since it's a lot like the computer versions of windows. The internet on it can be set for mobile or desktop, Desktop is identical to what you're used to on the computer. Alot of sites have Mobile versions which are just simplified, like myspace and Ebay, so they are quicker to load. Many phones don't have internet explorer, and can't load specific things on pages. This one will. Everything shows up on desktop.
It also has many cool programs already loaded. Calendar, alarm, full GPS, (just like the expensive ones that talk to you!), games (bejewled 2 is preloaded!) and many other things you may or may not ever use. But, because it is windows mobile, you can download a million different games, wallpapers, ringtones, apps (programs), plug ins, and anything else you could ever dream of. Many on the internet are FREE also!
If you don't have signal where you are, say, like in a huge building with thick walls, you can turn on WiFi and pick up your phone signal through it. I believe it can run on 3G, EVDO, or CDMA. (Mine is on the EVDO network, and is super fast!) Another thing that's a major bonus, is that if you have the data plan, phone as modem is free! Which means, you hook up your phone to the computer via usb cable (which is included) and you can surf the internet on your computer at broadband speed! I live out in the country, so I can't get internet. I use my phone as modem and I am loving it!
Are you interested in ringtones? (Isn't everyone?!) This one is simple to set. You pick an mp3 song or whatever you wish, (It's better if it's a clip of an mp3 which is simple to do on a computer) and set it for whatever or WHOever you need! All of my family and friends have their pick of songs set on my phone.
Speaking of mp3's, the media player is actually Windows Media Player. It sounds great and is easy to use. I use my phone as an mp3 player, probably more than a phone. lol
I hope this helps you decide. I know the Treo Pro is a bit expensive, but WELL worth it! It's a beautiful, sleek, sexy, and runs just as great as it looks!!!
Have a great day!
