I have a palm treo and my 5 year old son some how locked it and it is asking for a 4 digit phone lock code which I have no idea what it is is there a way around this code or a way to reset it

there are a few options. on some older palm devices the memory is run off of the battery, in other words, if the battery is completely dead, so is the memory. unfortunatly im pretty sure that newer ones are much more secure. a lot of times they come with a factory passcode. try0000 or 6666 or something like that. definately look in the owners manual. it will always tell what the factory code is. your son would have had to put in the factory code in order to change it which is why i think you probably just need the factory security code. again, see your owners manual

If i am not mistaken phone codes are the last for numbers of the phone number. or as one phone i had was the last 4 of my social. However if you look in the book that came with it ,then it should say ,if often can be 0000 or 1234 as well. good luck.
