How do you get a Zire31 Palmone PDA to recognize a memory card?

I just recently got a 2 Gig SD card for my birthday. This new card was for my PDA which is Palm's Zire 31 model. I inserted this new card into my PDA and for some reason it doesn't recognize my new card. Is there any way that I could get my PDA to recognize my new card?

Your Zire should recognize the SD and work according to this chapter.If this is the first SD card you have put in the expansion slot, then perhaps the contacts on the Palm and / or SD card are dirty, so clean the contacts on the SD card off with a Q Tip and some alcohol (dampen the tip, NOT dripping wet). Then insert and remove the card several times.Hopefully this will clean the contacts within the Zire and it should recognize the SD expansion card and work according to the Chapter referenced above.Good luck.
