I am in the process of ordering a custom class ring for highschool by the company Herff Jones. although my birthday is in may and my stone is emerald, my favorite color is red. but i have a problem picking which stone i want! The garnet (january) looks a little darker red than the ruby (july) and in some pictures the ruby looks like its a little bit pink/magenta, which i don't want. but i don't like dark red like garnet. is it just the lighting thats getting me confused? or is ruby really have a pink tint in it??

RUBY deffinitly, there are different kinds of ruby, just get one thats looks more red. =)
