...start? Kevin was born here in Mauldin ,SC and he never mentions the city or SC. He needs to own up and say "yes I was born in SC"!!!

For the same reason the Condelezza Rice does not broadcast that she is from Alabama. YES believe it or not, she represents Bama. Its nothing personal, its just that if they did not get any support from the place that they are from then they likely will not return the favor when they make it to the top. Its simple chip on the shoulder stance.
