you can get a brand new laptop for that price, but here are some things to consider, what is the warranty, and what are you going to be using it for. toughbooks are specialty laptops, they are designed to take abuse, I.E being mounted in a car where it has to deal with vibration all day, or used by field technicians where it might be exposed to the weather... If you don't plan on subjecting your laptop to harsh environments, I would spend your money on just regular laptop, you'll get more computing power for the money.by the way, i picked up a compaq laptop two years ago, with the same specs, for five hundred...... for the price of that toughbook you can probably get double the computing/storage/ram for the same price, probably new with a one year warranty. The bottom of the line dell vostro will still out perform that computer. not saying that toughbooks are bad, but computers have a three year life cycle and its at the end of it. it is strong though, and it might run slow forever
