Its an hdtv that my friend sold to me. no idea on how old it is but the top and bottom of the screen has somewhat of a yellow blotch all the way across the top and bottom. the view is zoomed in so if I want to watch something I have to adjust the vertical position to my liking. I have tried many things and just am not sure. please help

You can try holding Action and Power on the front of the unit, if you give me a model # i might be able to give more info. Action and Power should reset older units, a reset might fix, if not it will need to be serviced. If a rear projection tv, convergence might be out.
