Default How do I get non HD channels to come in clearly on my HD ready Panasonic Plasma TV?

I am not hooking the cable directly into the TV, The cable goes to the HD DVR recorder, then to the TV. The HD channels come in really clear, but the non HD ones do not. Everything is connected to a power source that is suppose to help enhance the TV quality. Help!!!

Check the source, what format is the HD DVR outputting, 1080i, 1080p, 480i, change the settings of the output on Standard Def (SD) channel. See if the picuture clears up. If this TV can only handle 720p and you pump 1080p into, signal has to be down converted, 1080p (True HD) should still look good on 720p TV but a 480i (SD channels) will look very bad. This should only be a problem if the TV can only handle up to 720p, when the max was 720p, 1080p didnt exist, so the TV doesnt know how to handle it. Set the cable box to 720p, the TV will upconvert to 1080p if it can and down convert to 480 without a problem.

Also, connect via HDMI, Component, S-Video, Video, then RF in that order of quality. Think of your TV as a Rocket Ship, if you put Diesel Fuel in it, its not going to take off from the launch pad.
