i would deffinately choose the S5IS. I had one and loved it. i would still be using it now, but i upgraded to a professional camera. i still borrow it from time to time to take video clips of my daughter and what not. but i loved it. but like i said i would still be using if i hadnt gotten my Nikon D200Great great camera. i liked the fact that it was both easy to use and user friendly and the fact that it had all the manual features as well. and it takes some great pictures!

s515 is a godo camera. also look at the cannon g9. it is smaller and much much better but a bit more expensive.
