I need a new point & shoot because after 3 years, my old Canon SD300 needs to be replaced. I basically use the camera for traveling and fun, but I want a decent camera that I can rely on. I have been reviewing the 3 models mentioned above but I just can't seem to make a decision. I know Canon has always been a trusted camera brand, but I really like the 10x zoom of the TZ5 (but it is a little big in size). The FS20 with 10.1MP also seems like a decent camera and doesn't cost quite as much. Can anyone give some advice? Comments are much appreciated!!

The SD870 or TZ5 are your best options of the ones listed. The 10x zoom is pretty nice to have. That camera operates very nicely when you use a good quality SD card, or SDHC card (SDHC are usually a bit faster and much larger in picture capacity) Either way you go, you will be happy, just decide on whether or not you want that extra zoom... I worked in a camera store, and those were 2 of our best sellers. If you don't mind the size, I'd say the TZ5. If you are trying to keep it small, then stick with the Canon.Good luck.
