I have a panasonic 52" rear projection, will it hurt it to play video games on it?

Nope, not at all. RPTV don't have any problem with video games.

Video is video. Your TV makes no distinction how it's created.The problem with rear projection CRT sets is that people sometimes leave a stationary video game on for extended periods.As long as the video is moving, you're fine. But don't leave a still scene on a picture tube for more than abou 15 minutes.
