I have a question about my Panasonic telephone? First person to answer gets 10 pts.?

My panasonic phone that I bought came with voice mail. I had call waiting so when I decided to insert the information the get voice mail I didn't actually think it would work because I had call waiting. Now whenever I am on the other line and somebody else calls me, the person who calls me hears all of my voice mail information. How can I get the voice mail to go away and get it to be back to normal.

I called the panasonic comapany to ensure that my voice mail can be removed and I can go back to call waiting but I have been on hole for the longest time. Bad service....

In the paperwork that came with your phone there should be detailed info on that subject if not check their website.

There is a default buttom on all phones that defaults back to factory settings.

I have researched this and I actually had a panasonic at one point, and I remember having a similar issue. Voice Mail is not an answering machine. It is a service that is offered for you by your local telephone company. Yes I am aware that you can set up an answering machine on your phone, but it is somewhat pointless. Integrating everything with your company ensures compatibility. So you need to set up your voice mail and contact your company to make sure that your call waiting is activated. You can accept the other call by pressing the "Flash" button on your handset. Hope this helps... you may update your question so that I can research further. Thanks.

Your manual also says that you should contact your service provider and they can give you the proper settings for the phone. Good Luck.
