WHATis OS?















what is OS and i am the computer administrator..















i am the administartor i forgot that password!!

while it boots keep pressing f8 button from where you can boot to safe mood and choose safe mod with networking so that you can choose to connect internet and work.































other thing there is software which will recover your password but it depends upon your Os.

You can try booting in safe mode if you didn't set the admin password.































Or you could download a Knoppix recovery disk and reset the password.

Hack GUEST with Admin privileges........

Copy this to notepad and save the file as Guest2admin.bat















Then you can double click the file to execute or run in the cmd.

If the safe mode (F8) trick doesn't work, you can use a live CD (someone else suggested Knoppix, but any Linux live CD will work) to reset the password.

This may work if username System is available as an administrator.















Login as: System















password as: system (it can be anything, just write it down)















When you get in Windows click: START















then click: Settings















and then : Control Panel















then click: Users and Passwords















next hilite: Administrator















If the SET PASSWORD button is active, you have the Administrator privileges and you can reset your password. You can use System name and password to log in if you forget again. IF this does not work ...no harm done.

OK ...from another computer you can download this CD image file and burn it, then use it to reset the password:

PRINT and read all of the instructions before starting!
