How come my Panasonic DMP-BD10 blu ray player sounds much better than

PS3 on my home theater set up? Im using Onkyo TX SR805 receiver, Im sure I got the right set up, I also tried regular dvd players and it sounds better than PS3 palyer also, picture quality is excellent though, can someone tell me if Im missing something, Im using HDMI btw, THANKS

Your play station 3 has 2 options for the audio. Its probably not set on bitstream. Once you change it over, you will hear i big difference in sound.Go to sound or audio settings and change it. Change it from PCM to Bitsream..
