100 inch panasonic...............?

last month i went to the Virgin Megastore, a multimedia mall, and they were previewing a 100 inch panasonic tv, hooked up to a ps3 via HDMI, showing the game Madagascar 2, and the picture was awful, very awful..........should it be better than this?, or is the tv too big for HD?, and one last question, does anyone buy this stuff?

at that size, you're going to need better than 720 or 1080 for it to look good..
