I have a Panasonic DVD recorder, model DMR-E55. I put in a DVD, it tried reading it and is now stuck in there and is in endless loop, constantly turning on and off. It changes from standby, to self-check, to reading disc, turns off, then starts over again. What is wrong and can I fix it? Also, is there a way to remove the disc without the player being on?

First unplug the machine from the mains































then get a paperclip and slide it into the tray gently pull and the disc tray will come open , works with most dvd plays and consoles
