Default Would you pick a Samsung PN42B450 Plasma or a Panasonic TC-42PX14 Plasma?

I have no experience with either of these brands or with Plasma. I'm switching from DLP to Plasma. TIA.

You will have just as high quality resolution with LCD and at a lower price, but if you are insistent the Samsung would more than likely be the higher quality of the two you mentioned.

i would actually stay with a dlp tv. yeah they are a little bit bulkier, the only thing better about a plasma is that they are slimmer and can be hung on the wall. i wouldnt actually hang anything over a 32' on the wall anyway the mess will be bad on the wall. i have heard so many bad reviews about plasma about burn ins and red dots on the screen. me personally i would stay with dlp.

To be honest Samsung is best for LCD and soon LED but when it comes to Plasma, Panasonic will win.

Also try (for Plasma) the Pioneer Kuro range, very good TVs.
