Default panasonic 5:1 stero keeps turning off when a louund noise is about to happen?

for example when an explosion is about to happen in a movie it just turns the sound off and i dont have it that loud....it has never done this before i have re wired it like ten times and i have tried switching out the wire for another brand...im happy with the monster cables they offer good sound but im wondering if the cables deliver too much sound and its making it shut off. i have never had this problem the only thing i can think of is that its old and i need a new one or i need to re wire it again or there is some setting that is messed up...thanks respond quickly because i have friends comming over for movie night.....and i dont want to dissapoint them........srry i was typing fast srry for the spelling mistakes....=0
