Clicking noise when playing DVD on Panasonic DVD Home Theater system?

I just bought a Panasonic DVD Home Theatre system SC-PT770 HT740 and am pleased so far....the only issue is a clicking noise...every 8 seconds or so...and only while playing DVD's (no noise when watching TV). Any ideas on what this could be would be appreciated...

noise from the dvd tray or from the speakers? it might just be the laser tracking arm, this can make noise but, not so loud that you can notice. it might need some lubing.
