After I fixed the fuse it worked for half a second then died! The plug works so I know it's not that... any idea if there are fuses in microwaves???

Hi,call panasonic or a local store - preferably the one you purchased it from, but don't use it anymore, and unplug it.better safe than sorry.good luck

you mean you changed the house fuse? a microwave draws a lot of current, generally they should be on their own dedicated circuit with no other appliances. otherwise if you run the micro and a coffee pot or toaster at the same time, the circuit fuse is going to blow every time.
