How do I connect my Panasonic PV-GS15 video camera to my iMac G5 computer using

a Firewire cable? I plugged it all in and nothing on my computer shows that it is even plugged in. I checked all of the connections to make sure they were all the way in. Nothing happens though.

If your iMac is not showing that it is plugged in, restart your iMac with the camera plugged in and it will register the connection. It does happen although you should only have to do it once. It is also how you eject CDs that have "disappeared" from the desktop.Once your iMac is re started- click file>new project in iMovie> and select the video format you want to work with>click ok and import the footage from your DV cam.Let me know if you have any problems.
