Philips cordless cd245 duo phone problem? The phone keeps stating its "searching"...

...for what i don't know?? Help I don't have the manual...can't find it online either....someone put me out my misery. Will not receive calls either and certainly can't make them.Thank you but i tried that , you put it on the base and it still states "searching"

It is searching for the base unit that is connected to the phone outlet on the wall. It may be out of range.
