philips lc260w01 lcd tv, speakers not working?

i have a philips lc260w01 lcd tv and have noticed over the last few weeks the volume starting to go. used to be able to have the volume on around 15-20 for a good sound, now it needs to be on maximum 99 to hear anything and even then its very low. anyone have any ideas what it could be ? and any ideas what sort of price im lookign at for repair ?
