Thinking about buying the Philips 52PFL7422D/37B LCD HDTV! Feedback needed!?

Hi,I am thinking about buying the Philips 52PFL7422D/37B. It is on sale for $999.99. Is this a decent tv? Any feedback much appreciated

personally, i would not buy any TV until i did your research. sites like consumerreports.com or eopinions are Godsends when it comes to this sort of thing. don't be blinded by the low price. remember, there is a reason why stores are offering prices that low on that model. i would not buy any LCD that is not sony, sharp, samsung, or LG. that's it. for a couple of hundred more, you can get a 40 inch 1080p samsung that is a much better TV than the Phillips.
