...without Cam Cameron or Wade Philips? guys, even if we hadn't let Marty go, would the Chargers still be the same, without Cam Cameron or Wade Philips? By the time AJ fired Marty, we'd already lost Cam & Wade.

Your O has not been the same without Cam Cameron. BTW, Thanks 4 letting Cam Cameron go to the Dolphins. Now he is with the Baltimore Ravens, and is making our offense EXTRODINARY!

Don't think they would be doing as good as when all were there, but not as bad as they look now. Marty had fire. His players played hard nose football. They played with passion. Chargers now just seem to show up and go thru the motions. That is a reflection of the head coach. They try to finese themselves a win. That doesn't work in the NFL.

I think we'll bounce back next year, we need to lose out and get a good draft pick. We'll have Merriman back, maybe build a decent secondary, and LT's confidence will hopefully come back cuz he isnt doing worth a dang this year (compared to his other years).

Yes letting Marty go is always a good decision. IMNSHO he is it the most overrated coach in NFL history. His teams won in spite of him not because of him. Marty leaving did not lead to the injury problems the Chargers are experiencing. Likewise with Cam Cameron and Wade Philips. For my money they are doing poorly for the most part due to a few key injuries (like Merriman).

i really doubt that everything would have been the same... but i think that the chargers would have been better off with marty as head coach instead of norv "team killer" turner... but with the O and D coordinators the have now... the things that marty had the norv doesnt is that he had a connection with the players... he was almost like a player himself... he made the team want to play for him... that is why the chargers played with so much heart w/ marty... norv doesnt connect w/ the players... and also the play calling... since marty new the players so much he new what plays would be best for them... norv calls bad played because he doesnt understand the players

so... we would be better off with marty as the head coach, instead of norv... with everything else the way it is...
