Help with the Philips mp3?

I just bought a philips mp3 and when i disconnected it from the computer for the first time, the screen was stuck on updated and was frozen. So i pushed reset, plugged it into the computer, and unplugged it again and it went back to the updating screen and was fronzen again! Im really angry, can anyone help? Thanks so much!

Chances are its a software malfunction with the MP3 player, the best thing to do would be to plug it into the computer and format it. Then you need to visit Phillips.com and locate the most recent firmware for the player, follow the instructions provided on how to install it, hopefully this will solve your problem, if not take it back and buy a Zen they are really reliable.
