I just bought a philips microphone yesterday at wal-mart for $9.48 i wanna plug it in to the desktop computer but it doesn't work....WHY??!!:@

Ask Philip to get his own microphone,

then go to voice















then test ur hardware

Right click on the little speaker icon in the system tray by the clock (in the taskbar) and open the mixer. The mic is possibly muted. Take off the tick in the mute option.

Do you need speakers? Ofcourse you need speakers hooked up to your desktop computer for functionality.















The microphone should work, I do have some philip devices and I didn't experience no problem. If possible, test your microphone on another computer that has speakers since you don't.































My other recommendation will be to go to philip.com and look for any driver that might be needed for your device or make use of windows update. Once again, you need speakers on your desktop if you want any sound from it.
