Actually, they BOTH did. You should have listened to the news conference..they also gave credit to the NAVY and FBI.

Obama spoke to the family before and after the rescue. And talked to the Capatin after he was rescued.

Im still trying to figure out why just a few days ago liberals were saying conservatives were idiots for wanting the military to just shoot em up and use force, and are now praising the action, and thanking Obama for doing something the Navy did

Not an Obama supporter, but he did give the Navy the freedom to act. You have to give him props for that. He did use the standard time for diplomacy, but his patience wore thin. I think the President acted appropriately.
