I have a Philips 47 LCD TV (47PFL7704D/F7) and occasionally the screen adjusts the brightness. I haven't figured out exactly when it happens, whether it be change in brightness of the picture on-screen or if it is something like ambient lighting from my room. This can be frustrating, as it adjusts it some times when it is not beneficial.































My question is: is there a way to turn this option off? and if so, what is the name and location of this option so that I can turn it off?































I've look a bit through the menu and I'm pretty tech savvy but there are so many options to configure, I don't like messing with them if I don't know what they will do.















I found it in the user manual; for anyone else with this problem, it's called Active Control under the Picture settings.

go to menu in the button and press some thing in the video dont actuallly rememba
