Well, it could be a couple of things; starting with the simpler, check to make sure the connections from the player to your TV are hooked up right. The more serious problem could be that your optical sensor that reads the information on the disk might be defective, in which case you would have to take it to a repair shop to get it fixed. Without any more details, that's about all the hints I can offer, so good luck! !

That DVD Player has a history of malfunction. There is no repair option available for the player since they all cost more than replacing the unit. The life expectancy of most DVD players under $50 is quite short.As a last ditch effort I would probably try a few different DVD's to make sure it is in fact the player and not the DVD. Then I would disconnect the power cord to the player and then reconnect after a few minutes to let it cool off and then try again.Good Luck!
