No color from DVD Player. Philips 5150.?

I bought a new DVD player Philips 5150. I have BPL 21 Inch Color TV. It is working fine. When i attached the Dvd player. I am able to get the sound and video. But the Video is black and white. but the other channels are coming in color. I have checked the DVD player in my friends TV. Its working Fine. How this may happen only for the DVD player. Please Help

Check your TV menu! see if it matches your connection style. component,composite,s-video,hdmi. It sounds like a menu conflict! The input aux 1, or whatever you use! IT has got to work! So check it out, If not also check your DVD menu also. Like i said it has to work, Especially if you already checked the player!
