Default LAPTOP - Philips 12NB5800 Good or Bad?

I'm looking at buying this laptop, currently at PC world for £499.Spec seems good: * Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7250 * (2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB Cache) * Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium * 2 GB Memory * 120 GB Hard Drive * 12" Brightview Widescreen * DVD Rewriter Multidrive * Wifi Enabled * Bluetooth Connectivity and Webcam * Weight 1.95KgBut never even seen a philips laptop before and because of the very cheap price I am concerned about quality.Anyone have it and have opinions on it?I cannot find a review of it but a review of the smaller 11" version was OK.Thanks

i dont have any idea about the products of philips. currently, im using Compaq and its great. i am also using xp instead of vista since it is easier to manipulate and operate. i suggest you look for another brand. and dont worry about the price.. quality is more important.. look for something that you could use longer. its better if it has quality but affordable..

You need to stay away from Phillips, Not that it's a bad product, but they use odd parts , which are harder to get if you need to upgrade or have something repaired. I'd stay with more of a well known brand, Hp, Dell etc.
