Default Cingular Samsung Sync?

Okay for school I need my phone to be totally silent, but the sync vibrates when its on silent mode. How do you silence the phone completey? No vibrating or anything? I pushed the hash button but that just puts it on vibrate. Please help!?best answer gets 5 stars

i think that there is an option in the settings under sounds where you can pick what sound u would want the phone to make when it rings or recieves a message. either a sound, vibration, or nothing.

When you click on the profile you are using hit the options button, then hit edit. Then go through the different screens by pressing the right arrow (the side to the right of the silver thing). On each thing where it says vibration, hit option then change. You can then select mute. Do that for the call, message, and phone sounds. Then when you need it completely silent, just select that profile that you have just saved. Hope this helps! It's what I have done with my same phone!
