every so often it powers off by itself when it is on, and says GOOD BYE. I have ruled out the remote and it is not the problem. It is hooked up to the stock surround sound system that came with it.































Why does it power off? It is not hot to the touch.















Some days it will work fine for a long time... then when its been on for a while it will turn off. once u turn it back on, it stays on for a while then powers off

Sounds like something you won't be able to fix. I would contact Samsung. Doubt they will help, but you could get lucky and have a warranty. Could be a system board issue, a short.































Only thing I can think of to try is look to see if there is a sleep timer.
