How do you convert video files so they can be played on a "Samsung P2" mp3 player?

I downloaded all my video files from Bittorrent so I have various different file formats such as AVI WMV Mpeg and RM files but I want to be able to play them on my samsung MP3 player. The shop where I bought it told me to us Xilisoft DVD to MP4 Converter but its not working out. Can anybody help I really want to be able to play them on my Samsung P2 player. Please Help if you can. Thanks.
